Roofing Before & After in Austin, TX
We can talk about drip edge and decking until the sun goes down, but nothing tells the story like standing back and looking at the work. The photos below show real Austin roofing problems we’ve corrected: hail damage in Leander, failing flashing near Mueller, a ridge cap that gave up after years of Travis County sun. These aren’t marketing mockups. They’re the reason we put a written price in your hands before any work starts.

Full Roof Replacement After Hail Damage – North Austin

Hail had peppered the shingles across the entire roof, and the homeowner was already seeing granules in the gutters after a spring storm rolled through the Arboretum area. We tore off the old roof down to the decking, replaced the damaged underlayment, and installed a full system from Owens Corning. The result is a roof that won’t flinch at the next storm season. We priced the job in writing before the first nail came out.
Flashing Repair Around a Chimney – Hyde Park

Flashing is the metal transition piece that keeps water from sneaking in where the chimney meets the roof. On this Hyde Park home, the old flashing had corroded and separated, and water was staining the ceiling in the upstairs bedroom. We removed the failed flashing, cut in new metal with proper step flashing, and sealed the junction. The leak stopped, and the repair carries a written guarantee. Not a verbal promise, a written one we hand over before the crew leaves.
Ridge Cap Replacement – Pflugerville

The ridge cap is the line of shingles that runs along the very peak of the roof, and it takes more sun and wind than any other part of the system. This one in Pflugerville had cracked and lifted, leaving the nails exposed. We pulled the old cap, repaired the ridge line, and installed new cap shingles from GAF. It’s a small fix that gets overlooked, but it’s the first place water finds when the wind blows hard.
Decking Repair and Re-Deck – Round Rock

Decking is the plywood layer under the shingles, the thing your shingles actually nail into. On this Round Rock home, a slow leak had rotted out a section of decking near the valley, and the plywood had started to sag. We cut out the bad section, replaced it with new decking, and laid down fresh underlayment before shingling. You don’t see the decking when you look at the finished roof, but you’d feel it if it failed.
Drip Edge and Fascia Repair – Cedar Park

Drip edge is the metal strip along the roof’s edge that directs rainwater into the gutter instead of letting it wick back up under the shingles. This Cedar Park home was missing drip edge on one entire side, and the fascia board behind it was starting to rot. We replaced the rotted fascia, installed new drip edge, and sealed the seam. Water now goes where it’s supposed to go: into the gutter, not into the wood.
Underlayment and Valley Repair – Dripping Springs

Underlayment is the water-resistant barrier beneath the shingles, and the valley is where two roof slopes meet and concentrate the most water. On this Dripping Springs house, the valley underlayment was worn through from years of Hill Country storms. We stripped the valley, installed new peel-and-stick underlayment, and re-shingled the valley line with a woven pattern. That valley now moves water better than the day the house was built.
